Jim McLean grew up in Glasgow in the west of Scotland and now lives and works in London. He studied at Glasgow University, The City University of London and TURPS Art School. He has exhibited in group shows in the UK including Flowers London (July 2024) The Royal Scottish Academy (May 2024), Saatchi Gallery (December 2022). His work was selected by Dale Lewis for the ING Discerning Eye prize show in 2022 and his self portrait The Artist And His Dog is now part of the Ruth Borchard Next Generation Collection. His work features in both private and public collections including the National Portrait Gallery (London), Glasgow Museums and Paisley Art Gallery.
